There are a few things that England has plenty of. Among those are castles, museums and cathedrals. Today we went to all three of those. Starting with Warwick Castle which was originally built in 1068, but has had many renovations, making it look highly Victorian on the interior while appearing Medieval on the exterior. It is a very confusing sight, but I was happy to find a good coffee table book there that I can add to my collection.
Then we ventured via our trusted charter bus to the city of Worchester. Their main claim to fame is that the final battle of the English Civil War took place there. That boing the case they have this Civil War museum thing that we went inside of. It was super weird and there was seriously nothing that i thought it was worth taking a picture of, as it was basically a mostly empty house in which I had a fun time playing pretend House Hunters International with my friends. I think that my dad would have been proud of my Realtor impersonation. It was pretty flawless.
I am seriously gonna stop showing you all pictures of cathedrals, because they do all basically look the same. And that was part of the point and the style, so it's not like it's a terrible critique. But when we go to one every week as a part of our day trips, that is magnified. I do think that it is cool that these beautiful buildings are the centers of the cities and yes the cathedrals are gorgeous, but it would be really refreshing to see a different architectural style in context of a religious building. Of course here are some pictures though, and of course there are ceiling photos.
So, to everybody in Utah that is complaining about the unpredictable weather: STOP. It's a million times more temperamental here and I experienced the coldest wind I have yet to feel today. I will not complain about Utah weather again.
Goodnight,
Kelsie
