So yesterday, Madi Shupe (I love her by the way) and I made a pit stop at the church on our way home. We got talking to the sister senior missionary and I figured out that there would be a blood drive today and I decided that if I was eligible to donate then I would!
I was eligible, so after class I donated blood. It didn't phase me, but I drake so much water while waiting that by the time I was finishing bleeding out I desperately needed to pee. Apparently they have to accompany you to the toilets and you are not allowed to lock the door "in case you get sick" I wanted to be like lady I am fine, like you obviously don't know me, but I didn't, and like I was a five year old that couldn't figure out how to lock the stall, she held the door closed for me. I do not recommend.
But one of the main reasons I donate is the free food. People have not yet figured out this major advantage, and as everything is so expensive here I stocked up, sneaking extra digestives and custard cremes into my backpack to have for later as a chowed down on potato crisps.
I ventured back through the wind to my flat where I was greeted by almost everybody in the flat waiting for me so we all could to to Abbey Road together!! So nice, but I remember that the last time people waited on me like that is the day I was robbed of my wallet, it was a PTSD nightmare (note: I am not actually currently suffering from PTSD and I apologize to anyone that could be offended by that lighthearted, good-intention joke).
Sooooo we went to Abbey Road!!
| Here's the beautiful group of girls that waited for me like real life sweethearts (because that's what they are). Black is really trendy right now in outerwear I guess. |
