There are somedays that I am infinitely grateful for my art history background. Today was one of them. Why? I SAW THE ELGIN MARBLES AND THE STANDARD OF UR AND THE ROSETTA STONE ANDOH MY SO MANY THINGS. But I also saw a bunch of Assyrian lion hunt relief sculpture and I have no idea why like them so much but I do so I took about 20 pictures of lions that had been impaled by arrows. Those Assyrians dude, they were hardcore.
There is no feeling in the world that is as great as seeing these works that you have studied so much in real life and this is cheesy but it's almost overwhelming (holy crap I have basically tattooed NERD on my forehead with this post) and it is actually quite possible the best feeling in the world. Here are pics:

Yep, if you learned art history from Gardner's Art Through the Ages
you better recognize this. |
Okay I have a confession, I don't have any emotional attachment to Charles Dickens, and after learning about the terribly dirty conditions his servants lived in I don't care for him. I am sure he was a good guy though. My dream though is to be famous enough that my house becomes a museum to honor me. We received a semi-guided tour at his hime, as this random volunteer kept on popping in and telling us weird horror stories about the servants. We were also required to be supervised by our professor, as if we were ten years old.

| Charles himself probably picked out that door color |
It truly is a shame that I only attended three high school dances. It is also a shame that no boys ever asked me BECAUSE THEY WERE MISSING OUT. I am the life of the party when it comes to dancing. I bring this up because I crashed the young single adult dance with Jaqueline and Savannah. We were most defs the shining stars and that could have been for one or both of the following reasons: It was 1920s themes and we were there in normal clothes AND/OR we were without a doubt the best dancers there. In short, we were untouchable and for that few people wanted to come talk to us. They had good muffins though, and good drinks and good strawberries. Free food is the key to my heart. Also I love Savannah and Jaqueline.
bye bye bye,
Kelsie
