Day Fifty-Seven:: 5 Seconds of Summer Concert

There are many aspects of my life that I should be ashamed of.  Luckily for you I have become numbto that embarassment and you will recieve a full account of one of the best nights of my life with minimal filtering.

I SAW 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER IN CONCERT HOLY CRAP.

But to the beginning...

I have a personal philosphy that if you are not dressed well then your night will not be as good as it could be.  I could go on about this personal philosophy for a long while but I will spare you for the time being, as it is not directly important to the topic at hand.

So I got dressed today, and I looked HOTTT.  My friend (friend is too lose of a term after last night but I cannot come up woth one that does her justice after what we experienced together so friend will have to do for the time being), Christine, looked smoking hotttt, so of course we needed to be photographed. I would like to thank the fabulous Madeline for photographing us.  It was such an honor to model for such a legendary artist.

We emerged from our flat looking hot and luckily the general public recognized that consistantly through the afternoon/evening.  We boarded the bus and headed toward our destiny, stopping for lunch and Starbucks along the way.

IMPORTANT NOTE::::: They spelled my name right on my cup at Starbucks.  It was so picturesque, so I had to take a picture, I had no option.

We queued at 4 pm because we had standing tickets.  This is where the shame begins, but also a great sense of confidence.  The show was set to start at 7.  That required 3 hours of waiting.  Three hours of standing in line with a bunch of 15 year old girls that are terrible at putting on eyeliner (meaning they basically cover their entire eyelid in the cosmetic, not a good look) and have terrible senses of style (read as: no senses of style) and love black (as expressed through their lack of style and their excessive eyeliner).

"I have never felt more normal."  Those were our verbal thoughts after being in the queue for about like maybe five minutes.  It continued to reemerge hundreds, possibly of thousands of times through the night after surveying the people that we were around (I am just speaking for myself here, but it is highly possible that the memebrs of my group were thinking the same).

At like five(ish) Katie joined us after events that are a part of a long story that I am not going into detail about because this is my blog and I am selfish like that to be totally honest.

So the concert was supposed to start at seven. We got in the building at seven.  IDK why TBH and I am a stickler on time.  Like you said seven, why are you not starting on time, you have had plenty of time to get it all figured out.  HONESTY is great. The show didn't end up starting until eight, and that was the opening act, so 5SOS wasn't even on until nine.  That's two hours late for those that dislike mental math.

We had decent spots given that we had only been there since four and soe people had cmaped out (losers).  But we are amazing and weasled our ways up thorugh the croud to the point that we were basically THIRD ROW!! (holy crap holy crap).

But basically it was amazing.  You can tell if I am enjoying myself at a concert when I switch from singing a bit to just standing there in complete shock while trying to take it all in.  I did that today, thereby I was very much enjoying myself.

I wish I could go into more detail about the concert itself, but it is sort of just a massive ball of joy in my heart that I cannot put into words much past: HOLY CRAP MICHAEL CLIFFORD AND HIS GUTAIR AND COLORED HAIR.  CALUM HOOD AND HIS GUTAIR AND HIS ADORABLE FACE AND LUKE HEMMINGS AND HIS VOICE AND HIS HAIR AND HIS BICEPS AND ASHTON IRWIN WITH HIS DRUMS AND DIMPLES AND HIS FACE AND HIS BICEPS AND HIS HAIR AND HIS SHIRT SND HIS EVERYTHING. HE IS MY EVERYTHING.

Gemma Styles was there.  I love her so much.  Seriously the coolest person I have ever met and I have never met her, so there's that.  Niall was not there though, my optimism was not effective enough a tool to bring him there apparently.  What a shame.

They played Teenage Dream.  That is my song and I was begging the music gods that they would play it.  Amid that begging I again realized that I MISS MY BEST FRIEND because THAT IS OUR SONG (in the most platonic way possible).

The concert had finished, but the night had only begun! We were determined to be among the annoying croud of girls trying to get pictures with the band as they "left the building" (please catch the joke there).  So we waited until 12:45(ish) until they took down the barriers and we realized that the exit we had invested in had proved us wrong.  I REGRET IT NOT THOUGH.  I had fun.  I also took a whiz just in a corner created by a fence and a gate off a street in London.  How many people can say they did that??? hashtag:bucketlist (I am so confused right now.  The American pound sign is what I need for the hashtag, but when I push that button it makes the British pound sign: £ and I cannot find the American one, hence the spelling out of 'hashtag' earlier).

In short I had a really good time (I guess)

GOODNIGHT LONDON!!!
Kelsie
