Our first stop was the Wedgwood Factory. If you have no idea what that is, it is okay, as I didn't know until I had spend about ten minutes walking through the museum think that they had there. You see, as a person that will make a lot of judgements and assumptions based off your logo, and especially the typeface used in that logo. So take a look at the logo for yourself and tell me what wold you guess Wedgwood is.
If you thought that it was a ritzy resort, you were like me: wrong. But come on, does that not look like it was designed specifically to be embroidered on a bathrobe or designed in tiles on the bottom of a pool that is never used for much past adults dipping their feet in?
So the mystery continues. What is Wedgwood? Well after walking thorough a museum filled with pottery and glaze swatches it came to me. Wedgwood "is a pottery firm owned by KPS Capitol Partners a private equity company based in New York City. Wedgwood was founded on 1 May 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood and in 1987 merged with Waterford Crystal to create Waterwood Wedgwood, an Ireland-based luxury brands group. After the 2009 purchase by KPS Capital, Wedgwood became part of a group of companies known as WWRD Holdings Ltd, an acronym for "Waterford Wedgwood Royal Doulton."" (That was most defs not from Wikipedia)
Okay though, Wedgwood is big in the pottery business and I felt completely uncultured for not knowing that. I felt even more uncultured, as I didn't buy a single thing, not even something from their Factory Store. BUt then I realized I am a college student, what am I going to do with it right now? Maybe I am just too boring and have just again proved that I am uncultured.
So after learning further about the ways of the rich and classy, we headed to Preston to have a church history tour. It was cool and Preston is super pretty and I like it a lot there.

This may seem like a boring and creepy building, but cool spiritual experiences happened here.

This is Kaylee, she is so great, you all need to meet her.
The park has plaques that discuss the members and I think that is super cool and I would not have expected it. This is one of said plaques.

SPRINGTIME IS HERE
I really like parks after my time here in England
This is where the first LDS baptisms in England took place. Just a bit cool.
The highlight of the day though was getting italian food at a sit down restaurant for only 5 pounds (which is unfortunately super cheap here, coming in at about 8.32 American dollars). Even better, I had lasagna. I love lasagna very passionately.
Oh and our hotel had free wifi, which is a blessing from above when you don't have a phone that works without wifi.
Happy day,
Kelsie
